A unique Victorian-style bead shop with an extensive beadwork gallery.

• Located in the historic district of Niles, in Fremont, California, Kiowa Rose is not your ordinary bead shop. Nestled amongst the antique shops and restaurants of this lovely area, Kiowa Rose Beads and Supplies stands out as something special - and that's from the outside. Once you set foot within the store, you realize you've found that perfect combination of Art Nouveau and modern beading.
• Rosie Long, proprietress of this fine establishment, has been creating works of beaded art for thirty-five years. Her store reflects this deep love of art, and it provides a source of beads and supplies to match no other. Every wall, every surface of the store is utilized to display beaded works and beads for sale - all shapes, sizes and colors are to be found here. Antique sideboards, dressers, cupboards and display cases are all utilized to showcase beads and bead projects - and row upon row of tubes of seed beads and strands of Czech glass beads festoon the walls, sorted by color and style.

Events!

Kiowa Rose Victorian Tea & Trimmings: Who doesn't love a tea party? Join Rosie and Rae as they will be your hosts for our annual full service Victorian Tea & Beaded Ornament (trimmings) Gathering! Several wonderful teas along with 3 amazing courses will be catered from our local tea room, all while we enjoy the festiveness of the season creating glorious ornamentation! During the tea you will learn how to adorn an ornament with a drape of beaded netting and crystals! Due to the popularity of this event we will offer two gatherings this year. Advance Registration Required.

Additional Birds of a Feather!

• Weekend Birds of a Feather! Our customers have spoken and we've been listening! Many of our customers have requested that there be a Bird's Gathering on the weekend in addition to our Friday nights - so we have scheduled one Saturday or one Sunday per month to be dedicated to Weekend Birds. Like our other Bird events this will be a time to gather with other bead enthusiast, work on existing projects or start a new project, show your work, share ideas and be inspired! We will serve pizza and have specials just for you! This is a non-instruction event that requires preregistration and $12.
• Early Birds too! Due to the overwhelming response to our evening Birds of a Feather gathering, we are adding an early version! The New Early Birds will be held the second Friday morning of each month from 11:30 - 3:30pm. Early Birds will be a time to gather with other bead enthusiast, work on existing projects or start a new project, show your work, share ideas and be inspired! We will serve pizza and have specials just for you! This is a non-instruction event that requires preregistration and $12.

The Autumn/Winter Class Schedule is In! Reserve your space now! With dozens of new classes on the roster, and plenty of ideas - check out the Class Schedule.

Private Classes are offered at Kiowa Rose. If you are interested in one on one , just you and your friends, or trying to accommodate a hectic schedule we may be able to assist you with private/ or semi private arrangements. There is a 2 hour minimum per visit. Call during business hours for more information.
