About Kiowa Rose

A unique Victorian-style bead shop with an extensive beadwork gallery.

Located in the historic district of Niles, in Fremont, California, Kiowa Rose is not your ordinary bead shop. Nestled amongst the antique shops and restaurants of this lovely area, Kiowa Rose Beads and Supplies stands out as something special - and that's from the outside. Once you set foot within the store, you realize you've found that perfect combination of Art Nouveau and modern beading.
Rosie Long, proprietress of this fine establishment, has been creating works of beaded art for thirty-five years. Her store reflects this deep love of art, and it provides a source of beads and supplies to match no other. Every wall, every surface of the store is utilized to display beaded works and beads for sale - all shapes, sizes and colors are to be found here. Antique sideboards, dressers, cupboards and display cases are all utilized to showcase beads and bead projects - and row upon row of tubes of seed beads and strands of Czech glass beads festoon the walls, sorted by color and style.

The Summer Class Schedule is In! Reserve your space now! With dozens of new classes on the roster, and plenty of ideas - check out the Class Schedule.

Private Classes are offered at Kiowa Rose. If you are interested in one on one, just you and your friends, or trying to accommodate a hectic schedule we may be able to assist you with private/ or semi private arrangements. There is a 2 hour minimum per visit. Call during business hours for more information.

Trunk Shows!

Designer Glass, July 3rd & 4th, 11:00am - 5:00 pm This is what they call that beautiful clear glass that looks and acts like finer Crystal but costs way less!! they sent me samples and I was blown away by the quality, colors and shapes available in this beautiful glass. sure to be a favorite among all of us. This is an opening date for a month-long show with this fancy glass... all the best will go firest so get here early!!
Lumina Inspirations, July 10th & 11th, 11:00am - 5:00pm Our first trunk show with Lumina Inspirations!!! I am so excited!!! They are the folks that have the wonderful hand-painted Russian beads done on genuine Onyx, Carnelian and other stone as well as a whole line of other beautifully painted ceramic focal beads with a more modern touch. This is going to be amazing!!! Don't miss it!!!
Swarovski Crystal Vintage Rare & Contemporary, July 24th & 25th, 11:00am - 5:00pm Jason will once again set your heart aflutter and pulse racing with his extraordinary array of Swarovski Crystal!! Jason always surprises us with some very limited one-of-a-kind Vintage finds. Come and get that special cut and finish before they are gone!!!
Gemini Gems, August 7th & 8th, 11:00am - 5:00pm Our friend Benny will have his beautiful assortment of fine stones. Benny's prices are the best we have seen and we love to pass them to you... all prices will be half the marked price at this show!! He also has the biggest variety of shapes and cuts in fine stones we have seen!!
Scorpio Beads, August 13th & 14th, 11:00am - 5:00pm Amazing lampwork flowers and focal beads all hand-done by Nanette Young-Griener!! check out her class using her beads!! It's all so fun!!
Wild Things Beads Trunk Show, August 14th, 11:00am - 5:00pm Join us for the splendor and variety we always get when we have J-ME and Guy present us with a trunk show!! They will be bringing a vast array of vintage and new beads as well as the unusual only they can find!!
Vintage Lucite, August 21st & 22nd, 11:00am - 5:00pm Join us for another fun-filled Trunk Show with our favorite Lucite vendor!!! They will once again send us an amazing array of vintage and contemporary Lucite beads, flowers and leaves!! Personally one of my very favorite shows!! Who can resist all those yummy colors??
